2009-2010 Season

Like Mike Jespersen's elegant music room set, Gregg W. Brevoort's production is smart and unfussy…the charming Hauman offers plenty of dowager yucks." - LA Times
About the Show
Written by Stephen Temperley
Directed by Gregg W. Brevoort
Opening Night is February 5 at 8pm.
A heartfelt, wickedly funny true story about the limits of self-perception, Souvenir flashes back to the musical career of Florence Foster Jenkins, a New York socialite and tone-deaf diva. Her bizarre partnership with pianist Cosme McMoon yielded off-key recitals that earned them standing ovations and cultish fame – culminating in a sold-out performance at Carnegie Hall. Souvenir is a musical "odd couple" for the ages – never has so little talent given so much joy and laughter!
